Joyette Bragg, 83, North Manchester, died at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Joyette was born on May 16, 1932, in Logan County, W. Va., to Willis and Maude (Estep) Chafin, both deceased.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to auctions, and going out to eat.
She is survived by her companion of 42 years: Richard Ihnen, Liberty Mills; son: Benny Bragg, Liberty Mills; daughters: Verdie (Bill) Howard, Liberty Mills; Jeretta Taylor, North Manchester; two sisters: Nancy (Hugh) Bryant, North Manchester; and Georgia Walsh, Pendleton, Ky.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; two brothers: Donald Chafin; Billy Ed Chafin; three sisters: Maudie Bragg; Edith Browning; Dorothy Funk; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
Calling hours will be from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at McKee Morturary, North Manchester. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
Burial will be at South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake.
