Lyle A. Heath

Lyle HeathLyle A. Heath, 93, of North Manchester, passed away at 11:05 a.m. April 20, 2015, at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

He was born on Feb. 22, 1922, in Bantry, N.D., to Charles Heath, deceased; and Edith (Healy), deceased. He retired from Endicott Church Furniture, Warsaw, in 1982. He married Clara L. (Seeley) Jan. 26, 1944. She died Oct. 3, 2004.

He was a Army WWII veteran and attended North Manchester United Methodist Church. Lyle was a lifetime member of American Legion Post # 15, Wabash; Moose Lodge #1518, North Manchester; and the DAV. He was an avid woodworker. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

 

He is survived by his sons: Barry (Susan) Heath, Bonita Springs, Fla.; Greg (Karen) Heath, Litchfield, Minn.; Scott (Deb) Heath, New Haven; sister: Francis Kesler, Francesville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and eight sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Peabody Chapel, 400 W. 7th. St. North Manchester. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at the chapel. Reverend Sue Babovec will officiate and burial will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
